Encourage students to take care of the environment by adapting the way they live and do things -- beginning in the classroom! Each book has sections that focus on reducing trash, refusing excess packaging, reusing items, recycling garbage, and responding by sharing what they learn with others. As they complete the standards-based lessons, they will discover lifestyle changes that can help preserve the environment. Each unit includes suggestions and adaptations to help ELL students and students in RTI (response to intervention) programs keep on task with the rest of the class.
